About Our Unit
The 105th Precinct Auxiliary Police Unit is stationed at the 105th Precinct of the New York City Police Department. Our unit is comprised of multi-faceted individuals who come from a variety of backgrounds: teachers, doctors, nurses, clerical, business owners, bakers, security guards, homeowners and many others. We have a range of talented professionals who dedicate many hours to protecting and serving the communities and neighborhoods in which they live and work. The important work that volunteers contribute is indispensable asset to the Police Department.
We have over 60 members who contribute over 1200+ hours a month to make sure that our communities are well looked after and have the very best in Police service. We thank our Auxiliary Coordinator, Police Officer Thomas Schiefer for all the hard work he does to ensure we have the tools and training to do our job to the best of our ability.
Our unit is a family and we take great pride in being able to work together in an environment that fosters such relationships. We will continued to be the “eyes and ears” of the Police Department and take all the necessary steps to ensure all of our residents are provided service in a Courteous, Professional and Respectful manner.
